Websites That Close.
Shipped in one to two weeks — not a brochure, not a project plan.

Most local business websites are brochures pretending to be marketing tools. They look fine, they load slowly, they don't track anything that matters, and they convert at 0.8%. We build the other kind: fast, structured for SEO and AI retrieval, instrumented for conversions, and wired to ring the phone — in one to two weeks. One caveat we'll say up front: we don't typically build JUST a website. A new site on broken infrastructure is a nicer front door on a house with no wiring. That is why almost every build starts with a Foundation Assessment — we find out what is actually broken before anyone designs a page.

[ 01 · Why it matters ]

The case for
getting this right.

01

Site speed is the single highest-leverage technical SEO fix. Every additional second of load time drops conversion rate by 7–12%. We build on Astro and Next.js — modern static-first frameworks — that ship sites in the 95–100 Lighthouse range without compromise.

02

Conversion architecture matters more than design. A beautiful site that converts at 1% loses to a plain site that converts at 5%. We design for the call: clear CTAs above the fold, sticky mobile call buttons, trust signals where decisions get made, friction-free forms.

03

Tracking is the backbone of optimization. If you don't know which page, ad, or campaign drove the call — you can't improve. We wire GTM, GA4, call tracking, and conversion events into every site at launch, not as a bolt-on later.

[ 02 · What you get ]

Six deliverables.
One outcome.

Every engagement ships these. No ambiguity, no scope drift, no 'we'll get to that later.' If it's listed below, it's part of the work.
01 Strategy + information architecture
02 Design system + branded component library
03 Development (Astro, Next.js, or SearchAtlas WS)
04 GTM + GA4 + conversion tracking setup
05 Call tracking integration (CallRail / WhatConverts)
06 Netlify / Vercel deploy + DNS + post-launch monitoring
[ 03 · Process ]

Four phases.
No mystery.

01 —

Strategy + IA

Discovery interview, competitor teardown, conversion-path mapping, sitemap. We don't design until we know what the site has to do.

02 —

Design system

Branded component library, type system, color tokens, motion principles. Built once, reused everywhere — so future pages stay consistent.

03 —

Build + instrument

Astro, Next.js, or Website Studio depending on fit. GTM, GA4, call tracking, schema, sitemap, robots.txt — all wired from the first commit.

04 —

Launch + tune

Netlify or Vercel deploy, DNS cutover, post-launch monitoring, conversion-rate optimization. Live inside two weeks, and alive after launch — not abandoned. Need it sooner? Bonsai ONE builds in an hour.

[ 04 · Engagement ]

What working
with us feels like.

Cadence

Project-based build — 1–2 weeks, not months. Then an optional post-launch CRO retainer. Need it faster? Bonsai ONE runs one-hour builds.

Touchpoints
  • Discovery interview + competitor teardown — week one
  • IA + wireframes for sign-off before any design starts
  • Design system + first-draft templates delivered for review
  • Weekly build check-in until launch
  • Post-launch: analytics review + CRO iteration cadence (optional retainer)
Reporting

Post-launch: GTM + GA4 + call tracking dashboard. Monthly CRO report tracking conversion rate by page, device, and source.

[ 05 · Expected outcomes ]

What you can
realistically expect.

Honest milestones, not sales promises. Exact timelines vary by starting position, competition, and how quickly decisions get made — but this is the shape of a typical engagement.
Day 1–2

Discovery + IA locked. Sitemap and conversion paths documented.

Day 3–5

Design system + first-draft templates delivered for review.

Week 2

Development complete. Instrumentation (GTM, GA4, call tracking, schema) fully wired.

Launch

Deployed to Netlify or Vercel. DNS cutover. Post-launch monitoring live.

[ 08 · FAQ ]

Questions,
answered honestly.

01 How long does a website build take?
+
One to two weeks. Not months. That is not a corner-cut — a small AI-leveraged team with a design system already built moves at a different speed than an agency staffing a project. If you need it faster than that, we run one-hour builds through Bonsai ONE.
02 What stack do you use?
+
Astro for content-heavy marketing sites (this site is Astro). Next.js for product/SaaS dashboards. SearchAtlas Website Studio for clients who need built-in SEO/CRM tools. Stack is chosen by fit, not preference.
03 Can I just buy a website from you?
+
Usually we will talk you out of it. A new site sitting on broken infrastructure — no tracking, a wrecked Google Business Profile, no review system, thin local pages — is a nicer front door on a house with no wiring. It looks better and converts about the same. That is what the Foundation Assessment is for: we find what is actually costing you leads, and if the answer genuinely is "the website," we build it.
04 What if I need it faster than two weeks?
+
Then Bonsai ONE. It is a one-hour build — a real, live, instrumented site in a single session. It is not the right fit for a 60-page local footprint, but for a focused conversion site with a deadline, it ships the same day.
05 Do you do WordPress?
+
Only when there's a hard requirement (existing plugins, client team familiarity). We don't recommend it for new builds — modern static-first frameworks ship faster, perform better, and cost less to maintain.
06 Will I be able to edit the site myself?
+
Yes. Astro and Next.js sites can be wired to a headless CMS (Sanity, Tina, or just markdown in GitHub) so non-technical updates are easy. Website Studio has its own visual editor. We choose based on how much you'll actually edit.
07 What does it cost?
+
$1,500 to $15,000 depending on scope. A focused conversion site starts at $1,500; a full service-by-city local footprint runs $8k–$15k; custom platforms are $15k+. We scope after a discovery call — no canned packages.

Does Siri name you — or your competitor?

Assistants return one or two names, not a page of results. AnswerSlot reads your Google profile and your site the way an assistant reads them, asks the models the questions your customers actually ask, and shows you what came back — including the business it named instead of you.
